Engagement Picnic

For many people engagements can be uber nerve wracking and confusing to navigate. But what if I told you it did not have to be? As an Experience Designer I am intentional to make your life’s biggest moments dreamy, whimsical, and most importantly stress free!
Emma and Nathan have been together for 7 years and share 2 sons together. Nathan knew he wanted to propose to Emma in a special sentimental way, and a private picnic experience was the perfect match. A quick rundown on Emma— she LOVEEES plants, nature, and anything that has to do with being outdoors in the sun. Nathan recruited @Minden as she has been the lead photographer taking their family portraits for the past 5 years now. When Minden revealed herself as the hidden photographer from afar Emma was in full awe of just how Nathan was in planning this intentional moment.

I was in charge of the picnic and opted for a custom set up that was regal, bohemian, but yet still timeless. Lighting can make the world of a difference. Candles being a part of this spread was essential in tying in the warmth of this moment and creating a moody ambience. To take it a step further I added dried florals tucked into the tied napkins, had double plates, glassware, and a full cutlery set to elevate the tablescape a bit more. Lastly, the madly in love couple lounged on a cool blue West Elm rug. Since the proposal took place in a garden all of the photos that we received back had a strong editorial feel for them. The flowers were in bloom and love was in the air <3
